En representativ villa i Spanien (1997 - 2001)

I fyra år i SAMARKS regi har jag ritat och följt upp ett villaprojekt i Spanien.
Villan (1,500kvm) - som på kundens begäran har ett balinesiskt
formspråk (Bali en liten ö i Indonesien) - har ritats in i minsta detalj.
Vi har ritat i över ett år på grundidén. Under arbetets gång
har vi utfört flera ändringar. Bygglovshandlingarna ritades för hand
och presenterades för de Spanska myndigheterna.
1998 upprättades det arbetsritningar i AutoCAD.
1999 skapades en 3D-model av hela huset för att få möjlighet
att studera detaljerna i dess rätta sammanhang.

Under perioden 1999-2000 tillbringade jag över 18 veckor i Spanien.
Husets totala kostnad uppskattades till ca.200 miljoner kronor.
Huset ritades i samarbete med landskapsarkitekter från Boston,
inredningsarkitekter från Los Angeles och spanska arkitenten.

Private Residence, Spain (1997–2001)

A representative villa (1,500sqm) in the glorious mountain landscape of Andalusia (southern Spain). The hill-top property overlooks a private golf course and the Mediterranean Sea. The Atlas Mountains (the northern coast of Africa) and the Rock of Gibraltar are just on the horizon. The villa is designed in a Balinese style (Indonesian) in accordance with the owner’s wishes. All the wood (teak) and woodcarvings come from Bali; the mosaic was made by Mexican artists; the flag-stones come from France, and both the bronze work and fixed-and-movable single-pane glass partitions, from Spain. It took four years of constant involvement, including one and a half years’ on-site supervision. Building costs: ca. $20 million for the year 2001.

The work was done under SAMARK arkitektur and design AB’s management in conjunction with ERGO—a Californian interior architect company, who created a similar piece for British businessman, Richard Broson on The Virgin Islands—and ZEN, a Boston landscape architect company. One of ZEN’s most prestigious works was a garden by the UN Building in Manhattan, New York.
